Spending Limit
Boost Express connects to external advertising platforms such as LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and Meta Ads. These platforms use real-time auctions to deliver impressions efficiently and may allow your ads to continue showing briefly after your daily budget is reached.
As a result, your actual daily spend may sometimes exceed the limit you have set. This behavior is expected across most platforms and helps maintain consistent delivery, especially during periods of high demand.
Why this happens
- Auction delays: Ads may still be delivered after your daily limit is reached due to auction or delivery latency.
- Pacing algorithms: Most ad platforms spread your budget throughout the day. If delivery slows down and then accelerates, spending may briefly go over the target.
- Billing limits: Boost Express lets you define a Total limit, which sets a fixed maximum for the entire campaign duration. This ensures that, regardless of how spend varies day to day, your overall budget won't be exceeded.
What to expect
- Boost Express applies the daily budget you set, but external platforms may temporarily exceed this limit depending on how they handle delivery and billing.
- To fully control your campaign spend, you can set a Total limit, which acts as a hard cap. Your campaign will never exceed this amount, even if daily spend varies.
Best practices
- If you are working with a strict daily budget, consider reducing your set limit slightly to allow room for possible overages.
- Always set a Total limit if you want to guarantee that your overall campaign spend will not be exceeded.
- Monitor actual spend to see how your budget is being used across different platforms.
